Sea World had a handful of water rides but we all decided early on that we did not want to walk around the park in sopping wet clothes, plus once again Landon was about an inch too short to ride the bigger rides. Luckily there was not a shortage of things to see and we spent the first part of the morning wandering around looking at the polar bears, walruses, a beluga whale, penguins, sea turtles and numerous sharks .
Lucas and Landon decided to pose like they were being eaten by this huge set of shark teeth.
Just before noon we headed to the Blue Horizons Stadium to watch the dolphin and bird show. We got pretty warm sitting in the stands during that half hour but it was sure worth seeing. I don't think I heard a peep from the boys the whole time as they just sat there mesmerized by the show.
After the dolphin show we had just enough time to hit the restrooms and wander across the park to Shamu Stadium to catch the One Ocean - Whale Show. Once again the boys did not make a peep during the 1/2 hour show. It was so amazing to watch these huge animals and their interactions with their trainers!
My little cheese balls after the show.We convinced Lucas to ride the Skytower Ride so that we could get a better view of the bay. Once he saw how slow moving it was he was ok with joining us.
After the ride we found the Sea Lions and purchased a tray of small fish that we were able to feed them. The boys did not want to touch the slimy fish so they just watched Steve and I throw the fish to the Sea Lions. Lucas loved the weird and different sounds they made and he was sure to capture them on video with his camera.
Since we saved money by eating the snacks we brought rather than purchasing an over priced lunch, we told the boys they could each pick out a souvenir from the gift shop. Landon picked a stuffed Polar Bear and Lucas picked a Seal.
We loved Sea World and would love to go back again.
