Friday after checking out of our hotel we took the shuttle bus to downtown San Antonio and our next hotel; which was right along the river walk. It was almost as nice as the Marriott but since we didn't spend too much time there it didn't really matter.
After getting checked in and settled we headed out to lunch at the restaurant that was highly recommended by our river boat tour guide, Casa Rio. We loved the food so much we ate there the next day as well.
Once we finished our yummy margaritas we headed for the Alamo. It was so nice to be able to explore the museums and not be rushed and interrupted umpteen times by little ones. The history of the Alamo is so rich, we could nearly feel the spirit of those who gave their lives for our independence.
The Alamo Cenotaph pays tribute to those who lost their lives in the battle of the Alamo.
I loved the history and architecture of San Antonio.
Some wax sculptures we happened upon and thought our boys would enjoy seeing mom and dad with John Cena and The Undertaker.

La Villita
Steve and I stopped at a pub to get a drink and all of a sudden the ceiling started leaking. The front part of the restaurant was nearly flooded before they canceled our order and evacuated the building.
After shopping at the mall next to our hotel, Steve and I decided to take an evening stroll along the river walk. We were still looking for a place to get a drink when I saw a sign for margaritas and led the two of us up to Coyote Ugly......little did I know.
