Aunt Tona & Wolverine

Three weeks ago Steve went out of town on an all guys trip to southern Utah to go biking, rafting and to do a little male bonding. Per your requests I have included a picture of his hair, which he was to fashion in an unusual way so as not to be done against his will by other adult men attending the trip. We opted for the opposite of a Mohawk which ended up looking a little like one of Lucas' favorite super hero's - Wolverine (note the Wolverine claws). Luckily when he returned home at the end of the 4 days all we had to do to return his hair to normal was finish shaving it.The day before Steve left on his trip my sister Tonia flew into town for a much needed visit. Luckily she was here to see my husband in all is glory. ;) I was so thankful to have company in town to help with the boys and it gave the boys something to do so they didn't sit around the house missing dad all day. Even though the boys are not real fond of shopping we did manage to spend our fare share of time at the local retail stores. We tried to make it as fun as possible for the boys....like the 2 minute carousal ride at the mall that Aunt Tonia got to ride as well. Unfortunately the older we get the less us adults like to spin in circles for fun and Aunt Tona (for those of you who don't know - it's really Aunt Tonia but the boys both call her Tona) ended up with quit a headache. Well duh why did she think I insisted she take the boys and not me?? :)
We saved what was supposed to be the nicest day during her visit to go to Wheeler Farm and have a picnic. Even though it rained off and on the whole day we still managed to walk around and visit all the animals. Landon really enjoyed riding the real pony and Lucas wanted no part of it.
Lucas did enjoy feeding the ducks and geese. Little does he know that his mom is more afraid of them than I am the ponies.

We had such a good time hanging out with Aunt Tona and really hated seeing her go home. Lucas cried off and on the day after she left and kept saying he missed Aunt Tona. While she was here we went for a walk every evening after dinner and for the first week after she left he would not go for a walk because he said it would make him think of Aunt Tona and he did not want to go without her. :( It is hard living away from my family and even more so now that I have kids - but it sure makes the time we do spend together so much more valuable.
