They always say that time flies when you're having fun........boy is that an understatement. Landon seems to be following in his brothers footsteps, quit literally. He is in this little phase where he absolutely loves shoes. He loves trying to put his own on - with little success, he loves to try to put his brothers on - sometimes actually succeeding and he loves to take his own off - especially when I don't want him to. If he even sees someone else pick up a pair of shoes he is off to find his own. He knows that when you get your shoes on you are either going outside to play or are going bye bye.
Lucas has really been getting into all his Star Wars toys his Aunt Tina gave him and thinks that every time I pick up the camera I should take pictures of his toys. I am sure everyone out there would love to see pics of his toys...right?.?.?
One of my favorite things to do with the kids on rainy or snowy days when we are stuck inside is play dress up and dance around. Lucas is usually the one who decides whether we are pirates, cowboys, super hero's or sword fighters. Landon usually just does his own thing.

After all that dress-up and dancing I usually have just enough energy left in me to get dinner on the table and get in a work-out. This last weekend I ran the Salt Lake City 1/2 Marathon I have been training for since January. I ran it in 2hrs. 15min and can't wait to do this run again next year. Thanks to all my family and friends who were so supportive - I couldn't have done it without you.

I will now have to find another threat to make them behave rather than telling them the Easter Bunny will not come and see them if they don't mind. :) I know I must not be the only mother out there who does this after all I think I remember hearing this same threat when I was a youngster. Lucas and Landon loved going through their baskets and finding all the goodies that were hidden and Lucas even went as far as to open each individual egg to see what kind of candy it was filled with and to sample everything - there was no need to cook breakfast for him after that. Lucas was so excited about his fishing pole and couldn't wait to try it out in the back yard (I'm not sure he actually knows what to do with it yet but before the summers up I expect to have a good ol' fish fry.) Landon was excited about his brothers new t-ball set and enjoyed hitting his brother with the bat.
Later in the morning we went to the Melchior's house for an Easter Egg hunt and coffee & donuts. Then it was home for lunch - an Easter time favorite - egg salad sandwiches.
After naps and playing outside with all the new toys it was off to Grandma & Papa's house where we continued the gluttony of stuffing ourselves.
We had a wonderful day with family & friends and look forward to many more wonderful holidays.

We ended the day with a barbeque and drinks at our friends Matt & Jeans house. We made it home with plenty of time for Lucas to put some carrots on a plate on the front porch for the Easter Bunny and for me to play on the computer. I can't wait for tomorrow morning to see what the Easter Bunny has left for the boys.
