Spring has Sprung

Wow so much has happened all within the last month and I'm not sure where the time went.

Landon played t-ball for 3 weeks and loved being on the Red Dragons team.  He was much more aggressive than last year and was usually one of the first out fielders to reach the ball.  At times all the kids would run after the ball and end up in one big heap but towards the end of the season they were getting better about not tackling each other for the ball.  Landon has been practicing at home without using his t and seems to be getting better about watching the ball.

Landon also ended his gymnastics course he was in and I don't think he was too sad about that.  A couple of times he said he did not want to go because it was boring.  He seemed to be a bit older than some of the kids in his group and more advanced so maybe we will try again in a year or two when they teach more than just summer-saults.

Back in April Landon had surgery to get his tonsils and adenoids taken out.  He did really well before going into surgery, playing video games up until the point where they wheeled him back to surgery in the wagon.  After surgery I was allowed to go and see him and was surprised to see him sitting up in his bed in the recovery room.   After getting some pain medicine and finishing his root beer slushlie we were released to take him home.  The first week was really rough on him and he was in a lot of pain.  We had to religiously administer his medicine every 5-6 hours including through the night.  I felt so sorry for him but he was so brave.

He enjoyed lots of pop-sysicles, ice cream, slushies, mac n' cheese, pudding and mashed potatoes.  Luckily after the first week or so he was much better and no longer required medicine.

We finally made a trip downtown to the new City Creek Shopping Center/Mall and Landon loved running around playing in the fountains and making lots of penny wishes.  We also met up with the Armstrong girls for lunch before then heading to pick up my race packet for the Salt Lake Bike Tour that I participated in with Sarah again.

The boys don't look like they are having fun in this ride but they were.  They enjoyed the day at Jungle Jims and screamed for joy on the roller coaster.

Yummy!!  IN-N-OUT BURGER   (Plus you can sort of tell that this was taken in Steve's car.  We had the truck in the shop getting new breaks overnight and so all four of us had to pile into daddy's car to go to t-ball and dinner.)

Landon had his 2nd field trip with his Wonder Kids Preschool classmates a couple of weeks ago.  We all met up south of town at Cabella's.  I was surprised, as I did not know there was so much to see but we had a tour guide and everything.  Landon seemed to have fun even though looking at the stuffed animals is not as neat as watching live animals.
